St. John is an ideal and award winning destination for those who like to stay active or for those who enjoy a relaxing day on the beach.  Snorkeling from shore is a wonderful activity for all ages and with so many beaches to choose from, you will experience a new adventure each time.  From sea turtles to blue tang to parrotfish, the variety of underwater life is truly amazing.  St. John offers snorkeling for all ages and abilities, from Maho Bay with an easy entry and calm waters to exploring the stunning corals of Kiddel Bay or the mangroves of Hurricane Hole.  There is something for everyone to see and enjoy.



Another popular  activity is hiking the various trails that cover the island.  Some of the highlights include the Ram Head Trail which ends with a cliff side view of the ocean, the Reef Bay Trail which takes you past Danish ruins and ancient petroglyph carvings or the Lind Point Trail which leaves from Cruz Bay and ends at stunning Salomon beach.  Be sure to stop by the National Park Office to gather information on the various hikes throughout the island.
